Back after a wild ride b5 direction?
I used to be on here pretty regularly back in 2014-15. Well in 2016 I got out of the hobby, got divorced the whole 9. Well a year ago I bought a 1/8th scale and went to one big race (motorama in Harrisburg pa) so that gave me the bug again. I quickly bought a crawler bc the racing scene died bc of Covid. During the lock down a long time friend in rc hit me up and said I wanna give you a basket case. So long story short he gave me a t4.1 factory team truck complete with box and manual (exactly how we collectors like them) and in the box another truck completely stripped for parts AND about $200 in new, still in packages parts! I’m talking full spring kits front and rear , ball and thrust rebuild kits arms .......etc. so I cleaned that up and put it on the shelf in the living room. Well now I just purchased a b5 rear motor, I know kind of newer but rare already none the less. Everyone converted to mid. Anyways I was able to track down a box and a really nice manual. So I’m not sure what direction I wanna go with the b5. I’m thinking bone stock with reedy electronics. Or maybe a full race breed with race hop ups? Idk any opinions?

Welcome back! I think it has been years for a number of us including myself but nice to see some familiar names resurface from the past.
I am still stuck in the rc past focusing on first gen stuff but in my humble opinion, I say drive the b5 and enjoy it!

I’ve decided I am going to race it, however only big events on carpet. I know it ok be a while but I’m sure it will be Collectable. I already sourced a box and very nice manual.
