Old School A Stamp/6 gear resto
About time to do an RC10 to get on the graces of the diehards on here. Scored this A Stamp on Ebay awhile back, just now tearing it down to see what i need. It came with a "Holy Grail" Le Mans 240S which i restored and will use in another project. Anyway just wanted to get this thread going.

It looks to be in better shape than most of the junk that I buy.
I think that I mostly find old dirt oval cars that were driven by blind people, who never serviced anything.

Are those the same blind people that are drilling out the chassis of the ones I buy?juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 4:25 pm It looks to be in better shape than most of the junk that I buy.

Yeah, thats them. In addition to the holes, they are usually twisted and bent so bad that they turn on their own. And disassembling the transmissions, shocks, and motors is always a surprise. I'd say that it's a testament to how tough these cars really are, surviving that much stupidity.

Thanks! Yes its decent...shocks rough but i found new bodies/caps in my stash. The sway bar and 240s sealed the deal for me. Gonna restore that chassis but heading in a different direction, always wanted a trailing arm car so we'll see where it goes

I have been eyeing the Factory Works kits myself. If I find a deal on a decent transmission, it might just happen.
Just need to catch up on the rest of my junk.

Got the trailing arms on...just love Factory Works Stuff! Probably do an Optima Mid trailing arm deal on down the road too. Its not just a throw it together kit. a lot of proper measuring and massaging the arms and pins to get everything working really smooth. Thats the fun part
This is Just mocked up, got big plans for the chassis as far as finish....no it won't be gray
