edinger early no stamp light resto
well from the looks of it, it has the hard to find clear gear cover, lower shock cups early dual bellcranks and if u look real close those beat up tires on the buggy say goodyear. kinda odd though it has a black chassis? once i get it ill pull and shock caps off and look for the notched pistons than give it a good clean up. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271765404024?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Re: i won an edinger......maybe???
got the car today will post pics later. has rear goodyears, full round rod ends, clear gear cover, lower shock cups, thick associated body, and i dont see any stamps so must be a no stamp. the chassis doesnt look to be painted black, will look closer after i clean it up.

Re: i won an edinger
looks like the chassis might have been powder coated??? their are scratches but its like its in the black not through the black like when u paint something.. as u can see those goodyears are shot
too bad all the parts were dyed

Re: i won an edinger a early no stamp??
well it seams kinda odd to me that someone would spend the time and money to powder coat this chassis? my plans are to replace the black dyed parts except for the rod ends and rear sping cups and sand blast the chassis and nose and repaint in a light gold. since it is a no stamp chassis.

Re: i won an edinger early no stamp
knew these parts would come in handy one day. had the front spring cups, clamps and complete early trans with light gold brace. i bought a pair of orginal diamonds and lucky to find (guy really had no idea what he had) early rear spring cups. going to put em all to good use on this resto. only rere parts will be the front wheels.

Hi Hugger19,
Do you have pics of the parts you are going to use?
A nice group shot would be sweet.
Oops, looks like I was a bit slow
Cheers, Dave.

I doubt that chassis is powder coated. What did you use to try and get it off?

Re: i won an edinger early no stamp
its powder coat. its really thick and glossy like powder coat is kinda a plasticy feel to the paint. plus theirs scratches in the black but not like when somethings painted and it gets scratched. plus if it was painted i would think when i took the screws off the black would come off a little and hasnt.scr8p wrote:I doubt that chassis is powder coated.
