This is a custom legend based build I did for Noah with the help of a good friend and racer. Noah helped design the Lego theme wrap on the real legend car of another local racer that gave him the entire car as a canvas for his imagination to run wild. We had the wrap scaled down by Vital Graphics so he could have his own race car when he was unable to attend the races anymore.
The car has a brushed Traxxas 12t motor and speed control with a 6 cell pack- plenty of power. The wheels were 3D printed to allow us to use rubber tires. The chassis is a modified legend style base with a roll cage built in.

It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Awesome story! ^^^
Well, let the ass-whipping begin! At least here it's free, I usually have to pay extra...
Pumpkin runner here with a Novak 410-M5, BUGGYWALD modified (can't remember specs right off, but it gets it pretty good!), and KO Propo old school EX-5. The body in this pic is for display purposes only and was painted by my cousins using automotive clear coat many years ago. Interesting bit of trivia, this Pumpkin GPS'd at 48MPH on 10 cells and a 17T motor at my cousin's house. Had to strap an extra 6 cell to the bumper to attempt to keep the front wheels down. Anyone who has ever driven one of these can imagine how stable it was at that speed!
Yes, it has a broken rear body mount. I have one, but it's in the basement and I'm too scared to go look for it. I'm 99.9% sure there's a boogey man down there.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - January 2021 ** - Winner - LoboNYC
Wild Willy had a son. His son grew up with the same crazy and wild passions as his Dad from the early 1980’s. He felt the need. The need for speed, and crazy wheeling same as his Dad. He grew up with the crazy wheelies of his Dad’s antics. But he wanted more. He wanted real 4x4 action. He built his own version of his famous Dad’s classic M38. He built it with actual four wheel drive. He chose to build his on a more current platform. He took apart a Tamiya Heavy Dump and used it’s GF-01 chassis for his M38. His Dad’s classic M38 body mounted on the GF-01 still does the crazy wheelies and stunts his father’s does, but now he can also make a statement with off road 4x4 crawling his Dad’s M38 fell short in. Willy’s son wanted to keep the iconic playing card decal theme as his Dad as a tribute to the original he drove, but wanted to make a mark of being different in his own right. So, he chose the Spade in lue of the iconic Club his Dad used. His Dad’s Wild Willy M38 won the May 2020 build of the month, so Son of Willy thought he would toss his contribution into the ring in 2021. It’s a new year. A new era.
Meet, Wild Willy 3.0, “Son of Willy”, the re-re Tamiya never offered, but should have. Built with an original Wild Willy M38 Body, modified to snuggly fit on to the GF-01 chassis from a Tamiya “Heavy Dump”. Full ball bearing upgraded. Front body mount modified to accept the single mounting post that the original Wild Willy uses. I hope you approve.

I edited mine twice, 3x if you count the time I got booted for trying to upload image files that were too large.
It's almost like the lighting in this house wasn't designed exclusively for the purpose of taking pics of vintage R/C cars. Weird, I know...
