Re: gonna do a resto
Great find! Restore it? You bet!
I'd probably even go 100% box art as well (assuming the body and decals are still available). I always like the car in the box photo -- great colors, Goodwrench livery, etc.

Re: gonna do a resto
This car brings back so many memories.
All good, except for one. None the less it was an awesome car to drive.

They look pretty clear to me. I know there is some compression that takes place on the pic when it is posted and all pics are usually more clear after you click or tap on them. i am not sure what the formula is to get the immediate image sharper though as I don't understand all the forum settings. they look pretty clear though. Looks good too!

Re: gonna do a resto
Very nice resto! I like what you did with the main shock. Also, I like the old Checkpoint peeking out of the pod! May I ask what sub C cells did you use? The labels on them did the trick! Now you got me wanting to build another pan car, arrghhhh!

Re: gonna do a resto
thanks homz! the sub c cells are from the Battery Station (2200 mah NiCads)....the labels came from that ole boy selling them on here from Spain.....stellar F'n product! i aint playin but he rarely is on here anymore. the shock is a brand new NOS vintage piece i had laying around.....the Checkpoint is a 20 turn with fresh rebuild and label from MCI. Gonna take the car to local carpet track Sunday and turn a couple laps!

Re: gonna do a resto
Did the body ever show up? I know shipping is slow all over right now. Did you take it to the track? I'm curious to see how it drove. It seemed like it was ready to rip when we drove it, but I'd love to feel it on a prepped track.

Re: gonna do a resto
Body still MIA!
it drove perfect! way better than todays stuff...but the batteries and esc are a joke compared to todays stuff. those batteries are brand new and it only went 1 lap and started to dump!
