XXt CR+??
I got the truck and after reading posts about it I’m excited to be rebuilding and running one of these. Gonna take some time as parts are hard to find and be reasonably priced. But that’s the thrill of the hunt right? So, found a body and some graphite rear arms. Happy about that. Question is, the chassis is marked with “L” and not XL. So is this a true XXT CR+? Or did i get a xxt that was converted? Or did Losi make two versions? Any insider tips on were to go for “reasonably” priced parts and aftermarket stuff would be greatly appreciated. eBay, vintage rc, old rc, Sabula tech.
Thanks guys
Thanks guys

Re: XXt CR+??
The XXT-CR and XXT-CR G+ should have the XL chassis, the L chassis was use on the original XX-T, they moved to a longer wheelbase for the CR onwards.
Post up some pics so we can see what else its spec'd with.

Re: XXt CR+??
It's hard to tell for sure but that appears to be the plastic chassis, not the Graphite. No big deal either way, just FYI.

Re: XXt CR+??
No real disappointment here. Just want to make it a nice runner. Not planning on racing, maybe take it for some runs, but for what paid, I guess I couldn’t go wrong. More of a nostalgia piece I guess.

Re: XXt CR+??
This defo looks like the original XX-T - not a CR as like you said it has the long chassis, and that anti-squat plate is also from the original XX-T. Either way still a nice truck, enjoy!
The motor plate is a nice upgrade - and its the mk1 version which is much sort after by us losi fan boys!

Re: XXt CR+??
So the front, rear and shock towers are all graphite. Full ball bearings. The front hold down graphite. I’m assuming the previous owner tried to hop up/ convert to cr or graphite? That’s what i suspect. Like I said no big deal. But kind of a game changer in that i can pursue certain parts at a reasonable price, and not be confined to a true xxt cr+.
So, my biggest thing now is the shock bodies and springs. The lower shock components that screw into the shock bodie are kid of chewed up, like they used a channel lock instead of a smooth jaw. Any after market shocks available to put on this, or am i on a long eBay hunt?

They should be LOSA5015 double o-ring shock cartridges.
Fairly easy to find and reasonably priced as well. Dan AKA Sabulatech is a business member here and great to deal with.

Thanks. I see what they have to offer and I am now starting to get a grip on parts. Been a while. Thinking now I will download the manual and start cross referencing parts.radioactivity wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 11:23 pm They should be LOSA5015 double o-ring shock cartridges.
