So... it looks like I've picked up another RC10T

Post by CrazyRC »

The seller shipped it today, I should get it in a few days. I'm not anywhere near knowledgeable enough to be able to identify it accurately from the pics, but it's a black tub chassis, with upgraded arms but includes the original white arms. From what I can gather, only the initial run of the RC10T came with black chassis/white suspension, correct?

This was apparently the guy's dad's truck that was raced in the 90's, and he didn't know much about it. But it comes complete, with a decent body, and a TON of spare parts as well. There's also a case with a few vintage race motors included, a transmitter/reciever, and what looks to be at least 3 full sets of wheels and tires. When it shows up, I'll post some pics, and ask some of you experts if I got a good deal or if I wasted my money...

As promised, here's some pics. I'd love any advice or help identifying what I've got.
I know it's got RPM arms front and rear, and a host of other RPM stuff as well. Also an old NiCad charger and a vintage KO transmitter.

I finally got this one up and running. After having nothing but issues with the ancient Novak ESC (most likely operator error), I decided to just go brushless, and tossed a 4370kv sensorless system in it. The truck rips, but its undriveable on asphalt. Get it in the dirt or gravel, and that's where this thing shines. After I get more comfortable with the handling and set up with the car, I will most likely go to a lipo setup and get a new body. Next time I get her out and am able to do some bashing, I'll get some good action shots.

Looks like you have a mid run thick arm team truck with universals. Also some upgraded RCPS turnbuckles on there.
