An absolutely perfect, pristine, cloudless blue sky from horizon to horizon. And most noteworthy, NO contrails; there hasn't been a jet or any other type of plane fly over north Alabama in weeks.
Only on September 11, 2001 can I recall looking up at a completely clear sky void of white vapor trails.

Not today, but last Saturday. Had this unwanted visitor on my top deck. I don't mind snakes, but have 2 small dogs that go out there so I don't want them on the deck. He did not go quietly. He wasn't the least bit afraid of my Swiffer handle. :lol: He just kept striking at it instead of leaving. He finally decided to leave. Non-poisonous water snake, but not very friendly...

My cat regularly makes several precarious jumps to get on our roof and then jumps onto the slanted metal roof on our top deck which has him about 40 ft off of the ground. Looked kinda cool with the storm coming in this evening.
