"I’d been hoping to attend a Vintage RC based race here in California for some time but with Covid19, nothing happened.

So I decided to organize my own event at #RoadrunnersRC! This will be the first Vintage RC based race of its kind! Modern Buggies will also have their own classes so everyone can attend. We are planning on having a rc swap meet, food vendor, and a special appearance by some Old School RC Racers! (Cliff Lett and Derek Furatani.) Hope to see everyone in November!!

I love the idea of a Tamiya 2wd/4wd class. Lots of interesting cars (Super Astute, Avante, etc.) that would otherwise get hammered in the other classes. At GT Tuned motor would be perfect for that.

Last year was to be the inaugural event. Didn't happen because of Covid. I haven't heard anything about trying it again.

The only place I know of in CA that has some vintage races is The Farm R/C Raceway in Yucapia.
