Earlier Templeofspeed displayed a paper chassis cutout template. Where did that come from because it looked really nice and can it be shared?. Just wondering. Thanks.

He's an idiot. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too.

I believe this was in Competition Plus BITD.

Bormac posted it originally, I saved the pictures. Here's the other one, sorry they are not scaled in any way.:

Thanks Temple, that's about the neatest pattern of holes I've yet seen. Now if they could be dimpled, I think that's what it was called, that would look pretty cool and add back strength. Something to contemplate on future Siebenelch build.

I remember the Thread talking about this "pattern". May be a dumb question, but why is that considered a "good" pattern? It looks pretty random to meI believe I could come up with something "better".

In the article which is hard to read above but if downloaded can be enlarged. It states that the template was developed by Associated Electrics and Reedy Engineering staff. It was track tested for three years and successful so I guess if you don't approve well you can come up with your own design but if you look at all the other examples that were previously shown that's what those were. I didn't like the way those random patterns looked esthetically but after reading the article I see that there must have been a method to the factory engineers madness and because it was developed by the factory engineering staff it might imho be factory approved. Anyway, I just liked it and each to his own.
