Re: Tech help and advice on older RC10
If it steers but no throttle, first I would swap channel one and two, and see what works. Either the steering wheel will control throttle or the throttle trigger will make it steer. This eliminated either the receiver or speed control.
I bet you will find the steering servo works in both channels, which will mean you need to look at the speed control side. Maybe you need to have the channel reversed, check that on the transmitter. There will be a small switch. Try flipping it. Also possible it is just a bad speed control.

It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Also make sure the esc is set for NiMh and not LiPo.

Did the ESC come with a manual or program card ? Is your battery fully charged ? Any LED's or set button on the ESC ? Throttle trim set at zero and throttle end points at 100% on your radio . Maybe you have to set up the throttle ends points on the ESC (Full forward, neutral, Full brake.) using the radio. Just a few guess's on my end.

Ok, I tried either channel and nothing... ESC beeps. Also I didn’t see a switch on ECS, however the side of ESC says Lipo so does that mean it only works with a Lipo battery?

I plug the ESC into channel 1 and ESC just beeps and the car rocks back and forth but no steering and no throttle response. I plug ESC into channel 2 and ESC does not beep but I still get no throttle or steering response.
