New member from Portland, Oregon
Thirty years after selling off my last rc (Clodbuster), I'm back in the hobby with a used 27 year-old RC10T3 picked up from OfferUp. Was into bicycles, and worked in bike shops for over two decades; I was glad to get out a few years back. Now unemployed due to Covid-19, and slowly trolling for used parts online. I'll post up my mongrel car when I figure out how.
Very interesting that this is the same forum software as IFSJA.org, where I hung out for years learning everything I could about Wagoneers. That forum was on very shaky ground, as the owner abandoned ship for Landcruisers a decade after he established the site, and refused to sell it to the then-current moderators. I haven't been back there in years.
Looking forward to getting to know some here.

Re: New member from Portland, Oregon
Welcome aboard.
I'm very sorry that you've lost a job but I remain optimist that the economy will bounce back again this summer and you'll find work.
Fortunately, this site seems to be on very solid ground; we have a great manager and some outstanding moderators.
This the best RC site on the net.

Thanks! As threatened, I posted my "car," but in true helpless techie fashion, it's sideways. Not that it's much to look at, anyways.
BTW, I'm also a Doug.

Does that car happen to have Hitech electronics and a Hobbywing ESC? If it does then I am the one who sold it to you!!!

Re: New member from Portland, Oregon
It is, indeed. The only change besides the hoaky paintwork is NIMH batteries and a lot of dried grass collecting in the chassis. Now I'm bewildering my neighbors with speedruns in front of my house. I may or may not try to sneak off to Meldrum Bar park on some weekday morning.
BTW, congrats on the quick Optima Mid sale. I saw the ad and had to issue myself a stern "no."

Re: New member from Portland, Oregon
I actually haven't sold it...Yet(hint hint). I noticed on your T/A that the knobbies on the rear tires were mostly gone. I laughed and thought to myself: He must be ripping that thing!

It's been getting some exercise!
And darnit, I've just acquired a Cougar KC project for PDX RC Underground when they re-open.
