Yes he does.

That lipo is so tiny that, at first glance, I thought you were running a receiver pack.

I did struggle with clearance for the steering servo horn , there's not much clearance , I had to do two redesigns of the servo mounts to get it just right , I guess I could just have used washers to space it but ....it made me twitch .
The clear Lacquer went on last night without an issue so today its masking and painting , hoping to get a good 70's feel to it .

Did that model have the oil bottle going to rear shocks?
Either way be cool to see it on there!

It was the Super champ that had the bottle , part or the same family of cars but more of the " top of the line race buggy " with mono shock rear suspension ,otherwise the same gearbox and front end .

Super Champ
Not my car, just an image I pulled from the web.
Anyone know what "FS" stands for?

Floating suspension ? , they marketed it as FFPDS or free floating progressive damping suspension .

No the cage I made won't fit a mono shock rear suspension and the oil bottle was a reservoir for the mono shock , I may go for an exhaust system and maybe a fake engine , I'm kind of looking for a scale replica look of the full size 70's Funco SS1 that was the original inspiration for the Tamiya Rough Rider .

Paint pickled again :( I even left it three times the full drying time :? so I'm set back another 36 hours and I'm simplifying the colour scheme , only two parts were in the new coat of paint so the other four parts are just staying how they are , I'm really disappointed but I just can't face doing the whole lot from scratch again and its waisted too much paint already .
