Street Weapon w/ Trinity Circuit Killer build
This build started with a very nice donor car. It had a new Trinity Circuit Killer kit installed on it, as well as some other nice upgrades. I have been hunting parts for the past year, and have most of what I need to complete it. I am starting with a new Graphite chassis and top deck, as well as arms and bumpers.
The outdrives are nice aluminum units. They came on the donor car and I'm not sure what brand they are. Maybe HG?
Here are some beginning pictures. Many more to come.

Re: Street Weapon w/ Trinity Circuit Killer Build
Here's some Trinity goodness.
My OCD goes crazy with the different shades of blue on the different parts and the blue aluminum screws. Shades can vary from each other from within the same pack even. I am doing my best to match everything as close as possible.
I have no idea on what body to use. Any suggestions are welcome.

Re: Street Weapon w/ Trinity Circuit Killer Build
I did some work on the MIP axles. They weren't in real bad shape, but the finish was a bit worn in places, and a few rust spots. I wired brushed them and then re-finished them with Birchwood Gun Blue.
The aluminum dog ones have wear and minor scraped from use. Fortunately most of this isn't visible once installed. I considered removing the coating and polishing them to remove the imperfections. However I like the bluish hue they have. Someday I will find a new set to replace them, and settle my OCD.
Much of this build is modified and upgraded parts from stock. I have found the manual of little help in many areas because of the differences.

Re: Street Weapon w/ Trinity Circuit Killer Build
Working to get the rear end complete. I had to sacrifice a Trinity rear pivot block by cutting off the 2 connecting ribs. It's the only way to make it work on the XX4/Street Weapon. I rounded the rear inside edges and filed them smooth. I took a blue sharpie to color the bare aluminum to match. I also had to flip the pin blocks around from their traditional position in order to get the correct spacing for the Trinity rear brace. This puts the toe-in at an odd angle, but it shouldn't matter much on the shelf.
I am also removing most of the blue aluminum screws from the upper deck, and replacing them with quality Lunsford Ti units.

Re: Street Weapon w/ Trinity Circuit Killer Build
The rear end is finished. I am still needing tie rods and proper ends. I have some nice Tecnacraft units, but I think I prefer Lunsford for this build. I am also unsure to go black or grey on the Losi ends.
There is plenty of time to build as we are quarantined for Covid19. We should be seeing lots of builds in here.

Re: Street Weapon w/ Trinity Circuit Killer Build
I decided to use Lunsford tie rods. I had enough for the 2 up front, but the rest are ordered. I am also going to change the rear shock springs to black.

Re: Street Weapon w/ Trinity Circuit Killer Build
^ Thanks Coxbros1. That is a great compliment. I was never much interested in the Street Weapon either, until I saw Jamin's build thread. The quality of his XX, XXT, XX4, and Street Weapon builds are the level I aim for with my own builds. He is my gold standard.
I was happy to get this Losi tuning kit. I installed the front sway bar kit. The rear sway bar does not fit the much wider Trinity bulkhead. Let me know if you know a unit that fits correctly on the Trinity kit.

Re: Street Weapon w/ Trinity Circuit Killer Build
Man this is nice! If there was one thing that would make me do another build, it would be a 'circuit killer' build like this! Great job and pics to do it justice!
(I now want a Circuit Killer kit!)

Was the stratus body cheap to license? That’s why they went with them?
