Duratrax Evader Resto
Hey Guys, first post, wanted to share my project...
My Evader I got back when they came out when I was just a kid. I got re-interested in R/C's so I figured it would be fun to spruce up the old girl. Doing this has brought back some memories so I think it's been worth it. Pics on the way!

Re: Duratrax Evader Resto
To start, here it is after sitting for maybe 10-15 years:

Under the hood, note the Tamiya 540 motor from my Falcon as the Photon failed:

Chassis was the old version, had some stress cracks starting in the vulnerable area where it meets the rear assembly, so I got a new one!

Swapping over components to new chassis:

Swap over completed, new reedy motor and wheels and tires installed:

New updated slipper clutch and spur gear installed along with new cover:

Now I'm rebuilding the shocks:

Still need to get some "Deans" connectors and maybe a new body!
Stay tuned.

Did a test run today and it runs great!
Basher67 - I really liked the look of the hoosiers, not many choices in the old 2.2 truck segment that aren't racing type tires, but this style of tire is what I was looking for. They seem to work really nice on pavement and grassy type stuff...

Re: Duratrax Evader Resto
I know absolutely nothing about this brand but this looks like a very nice truck.
And you've cleaned it up very well.
Good job!!
