Re: The official "lightweight" chassis thread.
Speaking of holes . Here is one of the chassis that was in those boxes I got from my neighbor . Same load of stuff I got those sprint chassis with . Unfortunately whoever this used to belong to they seemed to like an ugly brownish tan as they painted the bottom of the chassis with it

Re: The official "lightweight" chassis thread.
That actually doesn't look that bad. Cut, sure, but is the structural integrity compromised significantly? (unlike so many of the other examples)JK Racing wrote:and again...it appears the sides are cut down too...
Mind you, I'm not a buggy guy, so I wouldn't know a gold pan from a bed pan, but ...

But wouldn't a couple cross braces and bigger shocks take care of that?JK Racing wrote:I would imagine the torsional rigidity has been compromised....

I like the one , where the sides have become nerves, and the yellow dye in the last one makes me long for real cheese: not the kind of edible plastic japan consumes

Wow, they even took the time out to lighten the extremely heavy battery cups.Asso_man! wrote:

Guess I should not make fun. I read once where serious mountain bikers break their match sticks in half and literally shave their bikes just to save grams. I guess every little bit helps.
