Re: More AE parts being discontinued
Anyone with an inside line to Cliff? Curious if we will ever see this stuff reproduced again or are we effectively seeing the end of all parts support for classic RC10 now?

Holy crap batman, I just checked AE's site, is there anything left?
I wonder if they are downsizing and it's all part of the move? Interesting.....

I heard from someone that should be fairly in-the-know that they lost their molds again (second time lost and destroyed when the Chinese government seized the injection molding companies). Not sure that it is true, but it is from a reputable source.

Re: More AE parts being discontinued
Correct me if I'm wrong but since Team Associated was purchased and is held by Thunder Tiger, they are a Chinese company. If you buy from AE, you're buying Chinese.
If AE had tooled up a US molder, the parts would almost certainly have been more expensive. Such is the world in which we live.
The good news is that Jeff and Dadio have 3d printers so they can keep us supplied with whatever we need - and there are no molds to be lost or confiscated.

Re: More AE parts being discontinued
I just find it strange that about everything pre B5 (and even some B5) stuff is gone. And it's all across the board. Seeing the standard old ball ends discontinued was pretty saddening along with some other long running "staple" items.

Re: More AE parts being discontinued
Likely the cost of supply chain and maintaining even small inventories was more costly than the few bucks they made selling the old stuff. Packaging, web page costs, storage costs, and on, it's not just a simple as they keep a few old RC10 parts around. Could just be a plain old accounting call and no big conspiracy. Hard to believe a company would profit as their first motive, I know.

Re: More AE parts being discontinued
I'm looking for the re-re-release version of #6468 and would love to know if anyone can tell me dimensions or something? Was kinda hoping #91448 could be a substitute OR 91469. I mean, if they kept the ball ends the same across these things, we could keep them running easier. Any alternatives? Does someone elses part fit here? I just need the swivels. Dhawk on ebay didn't have them.
