That is a rare find indeed! I was always curious how they anodized two colors on the end bell. Must have been expensive to do so. I haven't seen very many of these around. I would like to see it restored.Incredible_Serious wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 11:15 pm Got a large lot of parts in the mail yesterday and today, including Tamiya bodies and a couple of chassis, and boxed but untested ESCs from Futaba and Novak. Along with everything else, this little gem was a welcome bonus! This is a Tamiya Acto-Power TRF-Tuned motor... and I know they must be rare, because I had to look it up to find out what it was!!!

Certainly, it needs a bit (read: a LOT!) of a clean, but it's rarity alone makes this the needle in the large pile of needles. As a comparison, a new rotor (armature) for one of these sold recently for almost US$50, and there's a new can up for sale currently, with a price tag over US$80... and that's the only two items I can find on eBay!
Much better day![]()
