To anyone who has an Optima Mid Custom box
Hi all, new member here. My name is Steve and i was heavily into RC in the late 80's to early 90's. Owned a few different models from Tamiya and Kyosho, but my favorites were always the Optima Mids.
I just finished an Optima Mid Custom Special restoration and am now working on an Optima Mid Custom. However, i'm having trouble finding a nice clear high resolution photo of the box. Are there any members currently possessing a Mid Custom box that could take a photo and either post or email it to me ? In the images i find on Google, some of the smaller decals are not clear at all.

Photos aren't working. You should consider making your own resto thread right here.SteveMax wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2019 9:53 pm Here are photos of my Custom Special restoration. Still need to finish the wing.

Hi Steve and welcome to the forums.
I'd very much like to see that as well.

i would like to, but am struggling with the photos, the files are too big to upload. What hosting site do most people use ? A long time ago, i used photobucket, but that site went to crap and then a lot of forum pics were lost.
Does this work ?

Yes that link works. Man, that is a super nice restoration.SteveMax wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 8:52 pm i would like to, but am struggling with the photos, the files are too big to upload. I guess I've used Google before. I've never had a problem posting pics directly to these forums but I just checked and my crappy photos are less than 700 k so that might explain it.
Anyway, I'm certainly no expert but you might try scaling your photos down a bit and try to upload them again -- or just use google since that works too.

I have one. Give me some time (a few days... very busy these times) and I'll snap some pics for you.
Please PM me if you don't see anything coming by mid-next week ok?

Re: To anyone who has an Optima Mid Custom box
I found a very good up close pic of the Optima Mid Custom on the retromodelisme site. It was good enough to work off for the decals.
However, there is one decal that i don't know what it is:
