SC10 receiver box compatible with T4?

I recently got back into the RC scene and pulled my RC10T4 out of storage. I noticed the SC10 comes with a waterproof receiver box (part #9877). Does this work on a RC10T4? I'd like to put one in to protect my receiver from water during bashing sessions. The Associated site lists is as compatible with the T4.2 and T4.3 but not the original T4. Looks like it fits but not 100% sure.

The T4 chassis and parts have evolved over the long production run of the T4. The T4.1 and T4.2 might have provisions molded into the chassis to fit the receiver box whereas the original T4 does not, hence why they say it only fits the .1 and .2 models.

You may be able to just drill a couple of holes and mount the receiver box yourself.
