ESC Timeline

We all miss a timeline for Tekin ESC's and others.
With that said, I started to go through RCCA magazines from 1988 to parts of 1997. Now I know that the dates/years are not accurate as it all depends on when RCCA had the chance to get their hand on the ESC's, but it gives a feel for the correct era. When looking trough the mags, I also stumbled upon many other ESC's from different manufacturer/brands.
I also looked into some of the present topics here at rc10talk to add to the list.

Futaba's got a list of their discontinued ESCs with production dates on their website: http://www.futabarc.com/accessories/old-speed-controls.html

Also a good way to get an idea of when an ESC (and lots of other stuff) came out is to check the manuals for a Copyright date. That's what I do for Tekin's ESC since they've also got an archive of their old gear on their website: http://www.teamtekin.com/archive.html

I forgot to point out that, like using RCCA, the Copyright thing isn't always dead on accurate. There's sometimes revisions to the manuals that change the Copyright date. For example the manual on Tekin's site for the 410S, 411P, 411G and 420F is dated 1991 but I have an earlier manual dated 1990 that's just for the 410S, 411P and 420F.

The manual was revised when the 411G was added to Tekin's ESC line-up and throws off the date for the other ESC.

Hi guys,

Need your help as Futaba has linked all to Tower Hobbies and I cant find old ESC manuals on www.rc.futaba.co.jp/
I've added old dirt-burner links on FP-MC12B & FP-MC112B, but it would be nice with a better solution so all ESC could be included.
