I dunno but it seems to me that long spike tires would work best on loose dirt (or loam) but the rubber should be hard enough so that the spike doesn't deflect. I still have a few of these from bitd and they are super stiff by today's standards. Has anyone here actually tried these new softer spike tires on a modern track surface?

Looks good Jeff! The chassis looks like a good candidate for a anodizing job.

It has a weird texture to it. I’m not sure how well it would take ano. Might turn out furry lol!

It has a texture like cast aluminum. It would be a lot of work

IIRC the vintage part had a sorta brushed finish. This might offer another way to distinguish re-re chassis pan from vintage.
It looks like it's been bead blasted.

It also has different holes so there will be no confusion with originals

Ah yes, so it does. Battery mount.
For reference, here's a vintage car photo I found on ebay.

I've always thought the front shock "top" mount was interesting; no screws needed, they just hook into place.
The car appears to have one plate part (rear shock tower). Will you be making a Factory Works c/f replacement -- perhaps with additional shock mounting holes?

We can but probably won’t until someone waves money around. People always want stuff until it’s time to pay
