Well, that didnt last long...note to self, just because you have several cars DOESNT MEAN SEND IT ON THE BIG CROSS OVER.

But seriously, it was too soft in the nose, a big ol' pillow. But in my typical fashion, no practice/shake down run, toss it on the track for Q1 without a single lap under its belt. The 1 warm up lap was my 'feel it out' for the car, I dont even remember setting the steering trim up, LOL. Over the big cross over, little nose down, left side caught and dug in hard, a few cartwheels and it just (appeared) to have popped the shock, so I was going to limp around the track, but then the rear hub decided to multiply by dividing...so Q1 was over. The RC10s ran the rest of the night, we ended up 2nd in the main, the driver ran out of talent.

Well, phooey on that. In a strange way it's nice to see these getting broken on dirt.

Don't run a Thorp gearset on turf with the slipper locked out either. There is probably a quicker way to grenade a top gear, but I haven't found one.

You should have dyed the rims yellow too while you were at it

For the yellow car, it uses modern wheels (B4/re-re worlds bearing fronts, 12mm hex rear). Dyeing the stock wheels would have killed the Sparkle/white car build

I'm back from vacation finally, so I may be building up another car soon & repairing the yellow car. As parts break, black parts will be put on, fresh newer black parts - hopefully less brittle.

Dyeing has ro ably rendered the parts less brittle.
Boil your white parts for the same effect.

Yes, I boiled most everything (except the 2 'new' additions).

I'm gonna be working on the cars again today, fixing up Mr. Yellow, putting more of Pinky together and doing a once over on the 2 new kids on the block. I may do a quick clean up and final assembly on the Eagle LS as well

Sorry, been a while since I updated.

Mr Sparkle has a few (no longer) NIP bumper installed
Pinky is on ebay, I just cannot justify having 5 TRX1s
Mr Yellow has not completed a single battery pack. Latest vicitim, the original yellow rear arm mounts (will be black soon) - kinda soured on trying to race this car.
The all black car is apart and being cleaned up, will attempt to have it ready to run for my boy, he likes to run what I am running.

The Eagle went to a new home, I havent started building the 2nd parts truck, but that will be soon I think.

An SRT 'fell' into my possesion (different thread), and the stock steering parts 'fell' onto my TRX1, with custom extended SAE axles. I can run Re-re Worlds/B4 front bearing wheels with zero loss of width now & no rubbing.

I finally finished a full heat without breaking something took first in the qualifier as well. But I notice the steering geometry is not right now that I have the donated SRT carriers & knuckles. I'll fiddle with it to make it right. Also noticed, after the race, that the rear suspension feels like it is in a bind upon compression. So that will get a detailed eye as well.
