Thanks for the link. Good-looking chassis' indeed. Not cheap, though

I think you will find an over-proportional représentation of anti-FB folks here... There should be some avantages to age, right?!?

Those are bars (solid rod). I'd say the dude has the length figured out and drills/taps before bending them. Much easier to use tube for the layman.

Re: Shining Star SSC 10 Build
I got some parts in today from AMAIN, Savox SC-0254MG servo, Avid 4-40 servo mounts, and a cool MST black/silver adjustable (8 position) servo saver.

Re: Shining Star SSC 10 Build
Very nice! I've wondered in the past if anyone has developed an adjustable servo saver and here it is. Need to check into that further.

It's a very nice servo saver, comes with lots of parts to adapt to your application, i.e. 23 and 25 spline stuff.

Re: Shining Star SSC 10 Build
Today I got all the slipper parts for the Stealth, Hubs, spring & washer, and some Avid # AV1081-AY2 CPD Pads to try out. That's the white you see poking out around an AE 81T spur gear. I already had a bag of nuts
I don't have any parts due for the rest of the week. I have to take a trip (heart inspection) for the rest of the week... leaving tomorrow afternoon.

Re: Shining Star SSC 10 Build
I neglected to come back with a report of the trip...
The journey took me to Norfolk, VA (Sentara Heart Hospital) for my heart transplant check up. Had a nuclear stress test, carotid artery study, labs, lots of tubes of blood drawn, and a clinical visit. All turned out good.
So, back to the build with some parts that only cost me some time today. I made a set (4ea) of aluminum alloy Stealth transmission spacers. I got a little groovy with them, different this time. They came out nice, just a little bit of polish needed. The camera always shows things the naked eye can't see.

Those things are beautiful!! If you were to make and sell a set, how much do you reckon theyd be between materials and labor?
