Here's my hopped-up ORIGINAL Monster Beetle.
The MB was my second "hobby-grade" RC car - might have been my first one now I think about it, really, as the MRC Bullit I had was a POS that was a decade too old in the shop when I bought it already. I sold my beloved jacked up beetle a couple of years after I got it to fund my first (and last) Kyosho, a Mid Custom. I should have never sold it... I have fond memories of playing with it any time I could, as well as spending all my pocket money on rear hex dogbones
This car was bought very early in the millenium. I was a wreck but had a couple of interesting bits on it, namely a full thorp transmission with (what appears to be) Losi sliders. I restored it a first time then including a full tear-down and paint job that followed @shodog 's advice, and it went to the shelf after a few batteries for way too long after the rear shock mounts on the trailing arm tore off, like on most ORV. I sourced some re-re arms later on but I had lost interest in the meantime ... but I will try to post some further info about that car on a dedicated topic as I just finished restoring it (again) for a vintage meet highlighted by @nikorentin recently (hey mate, can you post vid #2 now?
)
net - the car has a full thorp trans, AE bottom loaders, CRP front tower, CRP bumper, CRP reinforced shock mounts, a custom steering install/saver/links and a JR8411 servo (top-notch from 20yrs ago!), Dynamite period tiress, and some other tidbits I'm certainly forgetting. Power is provided courtesy of Turnigy with 21.5T and a Xcar 120A. Albert Attaboy sits on the wrong side of the car on a custom-made, expensive mount made of a piece of scrap lexan... The radio is a period Futaba Magnum AM with a 30-in antenna wire, and there's a few more mods I'm forgetting too I'm sure!

My Tamiya Racecraft
The front and rear gearbox are Top Force and so are the front and rear shocktowers. The shocks are from the Top Force too. Chassis are carbon (repro) made by Nick Walker, RW style. Its made to look like Jamie Booth's Tamiya Manta Ray/Racecraft but with my own colours

The picture with the body removed is an older pic but it was the only on i have atm.

Here is my custom sand rail. Build thread is here https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=36920

Build of the month
Out of my three rc cars, this was the last and is the best. I put the biggest speed controller I had on it and giant off road wheels. I measured it to go about 30mph. By far my favorite custom rc car. It uses an Airtronics servo, a novak rooster speed controller, and a novak receiver.

It's already done you know. I've only kept the pics as they also take a lot less space.
