Checkpoint Motor Number marking

Post by camlchris »

Hi, Anybody can tell what is the meaning of these number marking on the Vintage Platium Checkpoint motor ?
I see these numbers engraved on the end-bell #1220 and #1017. Your input is appreciated.

1220- 20 Turns
1017- 17 turns.

1017 was designated "best all purpose on-road" most likely Single wound 17T.
1220 i don't remember off hand could of been 2wd offroad 20Turn double motor but i would have to find my old motor lists to make sure.
Pls. help to find the List. Tks man !

12## = 12-scale?
10## = 10-scale (onroad)?
20## = 2wd offroad
40## = 4wd offroad, truck pulling and drag race = "hot" motor with low wind
