Dyeing ReRelease RC10 Parts
Hey everyone, hope all is well...
I've got an RC10 project on the go and I'm using some rerelease RC10 Worlds parts and I want to dye them black with Rit dye.
Do the rerelease parts dye OK?
Thanks!

Yes, they dye great! Use Rit Dyemore. They call their black "graphite" in that line. It's made for nylon type materials.

*Ditto" Rit Dyemore Graphite. I've been using it for quite sometime.

Re: Dyeing ReRelease RC10 Parts
Thanks for the responses!
I already bought the regular RIT powdered dye, I hope that'll work out OK.
I've had this chassis for a while-it's a black Team Car chassis, but it's stamped with an 'A'.
My other Team Car shelfer is stamped with both an 'A' and a 'B'.
Both chassis were pretty scratched up, so I had to resort to repairing the damage and painting them, bit of a bummer, but they look great.
I'm going all modern with this new Team Car build-RPM arms, CVDs, yellow B4 wheels, yellow A&L steering, B4 threaded shocks, a Castle Mamba Pro ESC and Orion brushless motor.
And it's going to be all black, with a few yellow parts to break the black up.
Here's the shelfer...

Re: Dyeing ReRelease RC10 Parts
Dyemore will do towers. It took me around a half hour at just under a boil. I haven’t had luck with the newer powders, the old ones were great. That’s why I had to switch to dyemore. If your powder doesn’t take go buy some dyemore and it will work great

Re: Dyeing ReRelease RC10 Parts
Thanks for all the info, the parts turned out great!
The Andy's front arms were the mankiest, yellowest, most unusable arms, ever and now they're killer.
Same with the re-re bulkhead and tranny case.

Re: Dyeing ReRelease RC10 Parts
Hey, does anyone know if RC10B4 turnbuckles will fit an ol' RC10 Team Car?
I'm using Rpm rear arms and Andy's front arms.
Thanks!

Re: Dyeing ReRelease RC10 Parts
they'll be a tad on the long side, much longer arms on the B4 than the old-skool rc10 (B1?Faster*Louder wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 3:55 am Hey, does anyone know if RC10B4 turnbuckles will fit an ol' RC10 Team Car?
