Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
Thanks Jamin. I'm hoping you have a build or two coming soon. I love your work.
I finally got a permanent motor and ESC, thanks to SofaKIng. Both new. I looked for a long time, but could not find a vintage motor I liked better/fit better with this build than the Reedy Sonic 2. This was SofaKing's suggestion, as I wasn't even aware of this motor prior.
The G10 esc is technically a few years too new for this truck, but I love the look of it. I removed and permanently soldered the on/off switch. I switched the receiver lead to an all black unit. When I wire up the motor and battery, I will use all black wiring, to match the murdered out look of the build.
I am still looking for some aluminum CRP shock collars. If I find a set, I plan to have them anodized black, and I think they will really look nice. I think I will have the shock caps re-anodized at the same time, as they are a little purple in the light.
Just tonight I bought a NIB Tekin receiver. I have been looking for one of these for awhile as well. Thanks to Jason Csontos for the sale. Can't wait to get it.
As always, suggestions always welcome. I love this little truck too much.

I still drool over this build.
Do you have a 40MHz Futaba or KO radio so that you can run it?
Which Tekin did you score?

Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
I just bought the Tekin receiver, and have not received it yet. I do not have a 40mhz, but that is not an issue. This truck will not be driven. She it too pretty.

Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
I misunderstood. You mentioned the G10 being too new, but then you mentioned buying a new Tekin esc from Jason. I see now that you meant receiver and not another new esc. Looking forward to more pics.

Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
I got the new Tekin receiver installed. Made a few small changes here and there on the truck. I added a foam battery pad, and I cut down the battery bulkhead piece to allow the foam to mount flat. I think this looks nice, plus it will keep the CC frame from getting scratched if I add cells. I still have a few plans for the shocks, and need to figure out if I want to add some cells. Other than that, I don't know what more I would want to add/change/upgrade on this. Out of my near 30 RC car/truck collection, this is my favorite. I think it is such a cool looking rig.

What a build!
It's gorgeous!
It's a shame that there are no Composite Craft decals out there. Would really be the finishing touch on that beautifully painted body.

Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
Looks really sweet and yummy! You should wire it up though and make it race-ready for added realism

Re: Composite Craft RC10T - Dream Build
Sandkil - I finally got around to ordering decals from MCI. I think the CC decals look great. They really make a big visual difference. I just wanted to keep adding them on, but don't want to over do it. Thanks for the heads up!
I still have one more big upgrade for this truck before I can call it complete. I hope to be able to complete it soon.
