Re: B6 club racer
nice.
I just got my freshly painted body back, now just need to trim and mount it.
I really like the car, I've just added a few mods to the back to try to increase rear traction, which I felt was where I was losing some time.

Re: B6 club racer
The build was excellent and super easy. Everything fit nice and is nice and smooth. Havent been to the track with it yet but it is definitely a good car and worth the money for what you get.

Re: B6 club racer
I just picked up a club racer and hobby shop gave me 10% off the $369. I did order a gear diff, gullwing front arms and tower and laydown transmission conversion as I will be running on turf.
Still an excellent deal when you factor the cost of the electronics they give you.

Re: B6 club racer
I just pulled the trigger on a B5 team kit (new and sealed got it for next to nothing!). Now I have something from this decade LOL...In the process of moving right now so I will build it when the snow flies. Take my time too.

Re: B6 club racer
Also FYI, AE's website had some clearance parts for B5 stuff ... could pick up extra parts cheap now (for possible need later).

Re: B6 club racer
Finishing up my B6 build right now. The instructions and bags of stuff are a real pain. Terrible flow to the build and what is in each bag. That said, as it comes together it is quite a machine, but if I was a 1st timer, I would have given up.

Re: B6 club racer
I had that feeling too... I've built so many cars and found the newer B6/B6D manual/packaging/process just to be not as "easy" as past kits... then again, the cars are a bit more complex now.

Re: B6 club racer
Could be they are more complex, but little things like not telling you to put grease on O-rings for outdrives, how high to fill gear diff, wrong size screws shown in some steps. Calls for a 6MM ballstud at one point when they don't even have those in kit. If you go back to setup sheet it is a 8MM stud with a 2MM spacer. Pictures aren't very clear etc. Lot's of little things I noticed that add up to frustration. Not user friendly if you were not experienced. Maybe they think B6 buyer is experienced but back in day RC10 manual was written so us kids could do it.

Re: B6 club racer
I just put together a T5M onto a custom nitro conversion chassis and the instructions for the T5 really seemed to be missing clear explanations. The lack of wheels and tires is a pain, but I get it. At the very least they could include some rims.
