All those motors had me dribbling coffee down my chin this morning! Very nice man, envious of your collection.

Thanks - i am kind of just documenting them all really as there are a few here that even i had forgotten about until i dug them out again. There are also 5 other Reedy modifieds an MG Exterminator and two Revolutions.

I also had a Technigold and a Le Mans 240S, but they haven't surfaced as of yet....

When i get time i will photograph the others and post them up.

Here's a few more.

Can't recall what wind this was, but i do know I also had a Revolution 17 Triple as well. Vague memory tells me this was a 15 Double 'Insane' or possibly a 15 Quad 'Mr Ed' though. It was a definitely a 15 something! Looks to have survived well anyway.

A few MG Exterminators of different winds.

Plus I also recently located and bought a very early MG Brown Dot example, the version without the gold cooling fins on the endbell. I'd been hunting for one of these for a while so i am really chuffed to finally get my hands on one 8)

The very last motor i purchased before 'retirement' appears to have been a Reedy Ultra Sonic 'S', which i do recall both purchasing and racing with in my very final race (qualified 2nd in the A Final, somewhere in Burton, UK). The motor is still in the car, so has literally just done one meeting and certainly looks pretty mint.

I still have the original packet it came in as well.

The Ultra Sonic 'S' was a 12 Double i believe.

Regarding the early Revolution motor, there could be markings at the front of the motor and a color code at the endbell which could help identifying what wind it is. Most of my Revolution motors do have this but if it´s a 15T it´s most likely a Double wind.

From memory I initially had a 17 turn Revolution motor - I still have the can but recall not being overly impressed with it. Back then a 16 triple was considered a hot spec with a 15turn motor being 'wild'... At some point I opted to go for a 15turn motor and that is what the Revolution motor with the gold fins on the end bell was. Barely used, like most of my motors. I will check it for any markings as you mention. Either way the condition is excellent.

It looks spotless apart from what looks like an 'H' or could it be an 'I' ???? In the base. I for Insane is what I am thinking.

Do the label colour differences mean anything here? I know one was a Red Dot and I seem to recall having a Pink Dot too.

Both coloured dots have fallen off...

Must admit I don't know much about Team Checkpoint motors, but this example looks very tidy, with a totally mint decal. Any idea what spec it might be?

No, this is a '4' what means 'Wet Mag IV' motor. This is a 16T Quint wind, actually intended for 4WD racing. There was also '2' what meant 'Wet Mag 2' 18 Triple for 2WD racing. Both motors were 2nd generation series with the Yokomo Wet mag can but for telling the truth I never got them really working. I preferred the early 17T and 16T triple by far.

The Insane 15T I had also but never was a really fast motor for me. No torque and too much amp draw, at least for 4WD racing the 16T 'Brutus' was way faster and really the bomb.

Don´t know the 16T Triple but the older 17T Triple which was sold as 'Power King'.
The Power King was the first Demon motor using this type of Sagami setup with thick wall can and high strength magnets.
Armatures were machine wound and not soldered at the commutator as this was actually a budget motor, but we found the Power King as a really fast and capable motor.
