What do you think the value would be for the original Masami's Australia's Stealth car?

In an auction setting, with 2 guys that have to have it and money is no object? The sky is the limit. I don't know if i see it hitting 5 figures, but i could see it getting close.

If I were a betting man I would guess it would sell in the $5,000 range, however, If two people with unlimited budgets had at it I'd say much higher.

I think it would depend on when the auction took place. The RC car eBay market seems to go up and down pretty frequently, and not for much rhyme or reason other than the seasonal ups and downs. Guessing, a few thousand dollars, at least. But, depending on who all participates in the auction, I am sure there are a few 'got to have its' that could make it very interesting

Regardless, I know I am not alone in saying that it would be the thrill of a lifetime to get to bid on such an auction.

Ebay would definitely be the best option. I don't know how much stuff you are thinking about moving along, but do it slow. Less than a handful of items at a time. If you flood the market with the stuff prices don't seem to go as high because of people trying to bid on multiple items with only X amount of dollars.

As Jeff mentioned, talking to Romulus about some of the items may be a good thing. Not that I would get out to CA to see any of it.

Also, if you have an idea on prices for some things, you could always list them FS in our buy/sell/trade.

I'd agree with Scr8p. If you want maximum profit, eBay makes sense. If you want it to stay in the hands of collectors, f/s on this forum or the museum are the logical choices.

This is so sad that you have to do this, but eBay is your best bet. Make sure you post a link to your eBay auctions on this forum, RCtech, Facebook and any other social media. Get it on AE's media as well. I think the final prices may surprise you! I hope you keep some of the gems though? Good luck with your sales Curtis.

So much history and behind the scenes stuff that never really gets seen, it's a shame to break it up. Hopefully we can add and update more pics/info to Gene's museum thread.

I've never been to CA. or Associated Electrics building. But what does the lobby look like there? How about starting your own type of collection/museum for the public to come see during business hours. Nothing against the Golden Years Museum but I think they are appointment only, Or special dates type museum?

If the original Masami would ever be for sale, it should be sold as a silent auction run by Cutis on rc10talk and advertised elsewhere.
It would be disheartening to see it go through the anonymity of ebay.

The first real replica sold for what ? 3500 if i remember ?
It should probably be worth 5 figures.

Am I correct in that Masami used a Viper body on the Detroit ‘91 Stealth?

……but what Undertray did he cut up to fit? Has anyone worked that out?
