This is the kind of thing we ask YOU lol
I've had both but never at the same time. I don't recall any difference

Re: Duratrax vs Kyosho Pro-XL Chassis

Only Ultima chassis I've had experience with is the Kelron version. Did some searches before I posted, and found one of your old threads asking pretty much the same thing. There was no answer though. Also saw a mention about them having different kick-up angles in another thread.

Re: Duratrax vs Kyosho Pro-XL Chassis
Well the chassis that raised this question arrived today and I can confirm that it's got a 30 degree kick-up instead of the typical 20 degree for an Ultima. I'm guessing it's a Duratrax chassis and not the stock Kyosho part.

Re: Duratrax vs Kyosho Pro-XL Chassis
I only know the Triumph had an adjustable kick-up and then the Pro-X/XRT had a fixed 30 degree. I've got a busted Tracker chassis that's 20 degree, and the Kelron chassis I had was also 20. I can't say for certain what the other Ultima chassis were.

Re: Duratrax vs Kyosho Pro-XL Chassis
Got another Pro-XL question...what is the pin to pin on the XL front arms? I could find comparison info but I couldn't find an actual measurement.
I think they're longer than Any's Ultima arms (~2 1/2") which I'm guessing should put them at about the same length as RPM JRX-T arms (~2 3/4").

Thanks Dennis. Metric is fine...I'm one of them there's that think the US should ditch inches anyway.
Was thinking RPM JRXT might work as a sub, since they're easier to find...but it looks like they might not have the room to mount the uprights in the outside hole, and would have rubbing issues, at the front of the arm, with a deep offset wheel.

Prices are about the same but the RPM JRXT arms seem to show up more often on eBay.
It's a real head scratcher that Kyosho went with the shorter arms for the Outlaw ST and Tracker trucks.

Yes, it´s a bit strange.
Perhaps the trucks were thought of as toy grade, just meant for bashing.
They were kind of late to the game - I guess Kyosho´s first competitive truck would have been the Ultima ST Type R.
I know about the PRO XRT

Re: Duratrax vs Kyosho Pro-XL Chassis
Even worse is the trans in the Ultima ST Sports (base version of the Type-R) was essentially a Nitro Tracker trans in a different case. Kyosho was already producing a better trans they could have used in the Pro-XRT
