Re: XLS Rerelease
Great News! spare parts for originals and something to run without fear of breaking something.
I hope the upgraded optional transmission includes: one piece rear diff; slipper clutch; one way front axles; wider belts...
I couldn't resist and pre-ordered one...

Re: XLS Rerelease
I tracked down my own CAT XL last week. My original car from bitd which i sold on to a friend in the early 90's when i was racing Yokomo cars.
It was a very early XL with the old SWB-style bumper. I tracked down said friend and he still has it stashed away in his garage and has agreed to sell it back to me. Pretty chuffed to say the least!! I'm just hoping the original bumper is still intact.... and that it still looks as i remember it in my head.
I'll post it up when i eventually get my hands on it, but this re-re news is good in that there will hopefully be some cross-over spares back-up.

Re: XLS Rerelease
I've been away from RC for quite some time, the only model that I have continued to search for over the past few years is a XL/XLS so I'm happy happy happy, my order went in as soon as Schumacher listed them

Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

Re: XLS Rerelease
Adam,
Do you really not still have connections?

I'm thinking it'll be cheaper, and faster for me to order direct from the UK.
No VAT, and even the CDN $ is doing well against the £

Re: XLS Rerelease
I was actually just about to email Robin but I wasn't gonna ask for one. Just say thanks on doing something I was begging for in 2007
Re: XLS Rerelease
I am just looking at pricing now and trying to figure cheapest way to get two here in Canada too.
Two from Stormer is $659.90 USD
Two from Schumacher is £433.32
Hmmmmm
Just converted the numbers over to Canadian....$110.00 difference .... didn't take in to account we don't pay VAT here in Canada
Anyone ever order direct from Scumacher to be shipped to Canada ?

Likely we'll get dinged for customs duty though.
I have an order incoming direct from Hornby right now, Amarak want money to release it.
Other than that I didn't have any issues

I see one of their shipping options is UPS....I think I would rather drive a nail in my hand then have them ship to me ever again
