Orangemada's project Pinky!
Just had this chassis powder coated. I haven't had a pink one before so I figured it was about time.
I'm not a huge fan of white parts (sacrilege, I know!), I normally prefer black parts (don't worry, I'd never dye good vintage white parts!)
I think this color chassis lends itself to white parts though. I'll probably do some carbon fiber goodies though too.

Nice color but I have a couple of quick questions. One, does the powder coat add weight compared to anodizing? Do you have to strip the anodizing with lye before having it powder coated?

I think the weight of the powder coating in negligible. I believe the powder coater I take my stuff to sand blasts the parts before coating them.

Sweet looking powder coat!
I always wondered how powder coating affected the counter-sunk screw heads on the bottom of the chassis? I was thinking of doing it with a chassis I have that have a lot of scratching vs. trying to polish (alot) and get a custom anodize job.

Battery strap looks like a cut down B4 piece. I assume the rear shock towers are relatively common, as I have one too.

Re: Orangemada's project Pinky!
The front and rear shock towers are ones I ordered from Fibrelyte and the battery strap is a cut down B4 strap. I still need to clean up the cut on the battery strap a little bit.

What towers are they?
And what battery strap?
Please,

The powder coat doesn't affect the counter sunk screws too bad. I'll post a pic of the bottom shortly.
I like powder coat because like you said, it hides a lot of scratches on used chassis.

Got a few more parts put together...
Still not sure if white parts are my cup of tea...
We'll see as things progress.

I like the white,
