Hello from the Washington DC area
Hello all,
I'm a new member here. I found the website from another very specific forum, Tamiya Club. I am newly (back) in the hobby after about 30 years. Back in the 80s, as a kid, I had a Hotshot II and totally loved it. Unfortunately, it did not survive my parents many moves. Now, with some time (and money), I felt it was the right moment to return. My first vehicle is the Hotshot re-re and I am almost done with it.
But, I am here because I just purchased the awesome black Friday deal for the RC10 Worlds car! I remember this car back in the day but felt like I was way too young to tackle something like this back then (I was way too young for the HS too). My goal in returning to this hobby is to have some weekend fun and then eventually joining a few club races every so often but nothing too serious. I am lucky to have a couple of tracks an hour or less from me and hope that the RC10 re-re can get my juices flowing and help me develop my skills. It will also help me learn the tons of information and language for this hobby. That is intimidating.
I will have many questions regarding how to build the RC10, included suggested electronics and hop-ups, so I will post up on a separate section for them. In the meantime, I have found some old threads that I have found very useful. They are:

http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=40284
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=40288
If anyone has any other suggested old readings, please let me know.
Thanks.

Under the edit for the original post, you should be able to edit the subject line.howaboutme wrote:Didn't find one for the title of the thread, only individual posts..Thanks though!Jimbo302 wrote:Try the edit function on the top right, if it is available.howaboutme wrote:Thanks!
