Wish I could drive my RCs again....

Post by mAdMan »

Wish I could work on my speed project, or any project. It's amazing how fast life changes with a kid. Enjoy your time with your toys, I wouldn't change it for anything though.

Miss this place!

As soon as he refines his motor skills...I'll be back! No! WE will be back :D

Here is the plan. Nap when they do, stay up later than they do and get your run time in late in the day if possible.

I look at my 2 unfinished projects and miss the tinkering & fabricating too...but in the summer months, the 1:1 cars get all the time, money & attention. We have long enough winters as it is, so the RC projects will have to wait their turn. 8)
Completed projects: CYANide Onroad Optima | Zebra Gold Optima | Barney Optima | OptiMutt RWD Mid
Gallery - Coel's Stalls: Marui Galaxy & Shogun Resto-Mods | FrankenBuff AYK Buffalo | 1987 Buick GNX RC12L3

More like enjoy the kids while you can, the cars will be there. When my kids were very young I had time to tinker with stuff a bit while watching them. Then as they were a bit older it was exciting having them help and start driving. I must say it is hard to compete with all the internet and electronics these days. It seems like the prime time has come and gone already as my son is now 14 and football, friends, girls are front row. It seems like we just got to the point where he could hold his own with me using the same setups and racing with each other was fun. This summer I think he put one pack through it and didn't get the bug like I thought. My daughter is 9 and still likes to putt around with me but she would rather design and help paint the bodies.
The Fox, Falcon, 9 RC10s black/gold/graph, Optima Mid SE EXT, Losi XXXT, B3, B4, 3 T4s, Evader BX, Evader ST, Buggy Champ '09, Sand Scorcher '10, RC10T, RC10DS

My son is a natural RC driver/pilot.

Hes about to turn 7, and got an electric plane for Christmas, he can fly it. But for now I land it.

He really wanted my SC10gte so I bought him a slash 2wd and we bash around together. Its great. I hope to get back into more custom builds with him helping real soon.
