Re: Team Losi XX-4 Rebuild, 2 Cars
I guess it depends on how long you are willing to look. I know I could have purchased bumpers quite a few times on ebay over the last year; my xx4 project pretty much just needs bumpers and wing stays (and new belts of course), so I have on and off looked there. it's pretty low on the list so unless a super deal fell in my lap, i just passed over them.
the other thing is they are pretty fragile up front, so I was thinking about making something a bit stronger to tie it all together.

That's about all I can finish for the day.

Re: Team Losi XX-4 Rebuild, 2 Cars
Looking good so far.
Like jwscab stated, so far I've ran across several bumpers on ebay but as you can figure if they are alone they get kinda pricey. I've bid on a few lots but they weren't that high on my priority list either so I passed on them. I primarily need belts myself for a few runners and have yet to do anything that way. Will finish up some of these things someday
I was in fact quite surprised by how many trinity items I did find for this thing on ebay over the past few months. Picked up a few lots here and there to get rolling but without the belts my plans are for them to sit in the boxes til all the stuff is here.
Keep us posted

Re: Team Losi XX-4 Rebuild, 2 Cars
There's a guy on eBay who sells belts for $20. I'm waiting on a set right now for the second car so I can start reassembling. As with my other builds, those last few parts will just have to wait until the right time or price. I don't need it enough to justify spending much. I don't like to spend a lot for one part when my car was not much to begin with, if you know what I mean.klavy69 wrote:Looking good so far.

I know Shoman24 wants OEM, but these look like a good aftermarket bumper option for a runner. http://tboneracing.net/brands-a-m/losi/xx4/

For me, definitely. But if I decide to race one, that would be a good buy.

Re: Team Losi XX-4 Rebuild, 2 Cars
Update:
-Cleaned the wing up a bit and added decals.
-Installed new front bulkhead in white.
-Installed Ti-Nitride shock shafts in the rear to match the front.
-Installed new front/rear wheels and nuts. I baked off the original wheels to save the near new Pro-Line Pro-86 Flat Stubbie tires.
Paint will be coming soon, and the batteries may be soldered. I haven't decided quite yet.

Body is being painted, my decals came for the car above, and I can now start the Heavy Metal build since belts came
