- Studio pictures: the next level -

Post by Asso_man! »

A friend of mine has access to his father's professional photo studio and I spent a few hours with him shooting three of my cars as a first attempt. It was really fun to do this and hopefully one day I'll have most of my cars photographed the same way. It's quite time consuming but really worth the effort. Looking at the full resolutuion pictures makes you feel like you could touch the car. He used a Canon EOS 5D Mark II to shoot the cars, coupled with a dark room and a big indirect flashing light. Some of these pictures will be soon featured in a magazine!

Thanks guys, really happy with the result indeed! Looking at the high res pictures on my friend's large Apple screen was like staring at the real deal! I hope we can do more in the future...

I'd love to have a setup like that. My setup is very basic, just blond-colored wood on 2 sides and a lot of lighting and I can get pretty decent pictures, but I'm always having to futz around with the lighting angles or partially obscuring the camera flash to get decent-quality shots. A setup like yours would eliminate much of the trial-and-error I currently have to do. I think I end up deleting 3 or 4 out of every 5 pictures.

Thanks Dave. I uploaded most of them in my gallery here so you now have even more choices 8) Should you need a high-res picture, just let me know. I also use these as desktop background at the office
