This is a work in progress but I have been stashing away bits for this build for a long time now and it's finally starting to come together. I have lots to work out yet. My biggest leap now is finding or making Gold turnbuckles for the project. I've heard about turning Lunsford titanium's gold with simple green and 9 Volts. I'm still looking for a fitting ESC for this build and some batteries that will set it off.
Any insight would be great! On that note, lets see some pictures!
check ebay for gold aluminum team durango turnbuckles. few different lengths you can probably make work. I assume this car is for the shelf, so even if you have to adjust the length to non 'optimum' for racing, they are available.
if you wanted to use titanium, yes, you can anodize with a very tightly controlled voltage.
That's looking VERY bling..... as it'll be a shelfer, you might want to try and locate an older TrakPower LiPo battery... not so much for the performance, but for the looks:
Of course, you could always go a black LiPo for contrast too.....

I say all your electronics should be carbon wrapped, match the towers. Even the battery, carbon wrap that too. Use some of the smokey clear 14 gauge wires to wire it all up.
2nd thought for speedo is a black Tekin with Gold heatsinks, it would match the motor well. Black servo with gold alloy arm. Standard black receiver.

I located a really nice Tekin with brand new gold heatsinks. Thanks for the advice. I don't know why I never thought of that ESC it will be perfect!

I picked one of these up over the weekend. It's brand new but has a horrible pro paint job . I can't seem to find anything on it, anybody got the scoop on what it fits?

I don't know anything about it. I was hoping it was for RC10
Wanted to build my version of a factory team themed rc10b2. This is being built from an original barely used b2 and a mix of new parts. Here are my metal parts after coming back from anodizing.
if i can remember correctly the reason the box art picture dont have a front mount is because kinwald used velcro to secure his body on that car...speaking of kinwald it was just weird seeing him back in 2009 at the reedy truck race of champions and...
a few pics of my andy's buggy.......... now if i only had a new andy's body to go on it............. :(

This car looks awesome I particularly like the paint job you have achieved. Was it very difficult to out line all the little squares? BTW who makes that chassis is it Raborn?
thanks, all the little squares are vinyl and the lines are striping tape....
This is my Andy's Build. Trying to use as much Andy's as I can on this build. Still missing a few pieces.

Protech IV looks great on there. If you are planning to run it, the wing might get bent kinda easily with the narrow mounting pattern. You could use the outer set of holes to be more stable. For the shelf, it will be just fine.
