What the hell is up with USPS
What is up with the usps. I have had several packages that have been out for delivery then they don't get delivered then they end up in another city. I sent out a package priority to Todd (klavy69) and the tracking info was never updated and it took a month to get to him. This is ridiculous!!! Ok rant over

I have a package I sent to Australia Priority International that just vanished from the system... if you try to track it it just gives you some sort of error and says not found.

Re: What the hell is up with USPS
That could be because packages sent to Australia vanish from the face of the Earth sometimes...only to reappear and be delivered 2 or more months later. That happened to me twice shipping stuff to Australia from Canada.mk-Zero wrote:I have a package I sent to Australia Priority International that just vanished from the system... if you try to track it it just gives you some sort of error and says not found.

USPS should get a honey badger for a mascot instead of that silly bird

Fedex just did the same to me on orders I placed last week for the shop. There are three 22 3.0 buggies I need being held hostage.

Re: What the hell is up with USPS
Then UPS has their shared crap with the USPS. We watched a package of my wifes last week bounce all around and go past us 150 miles away twice before it was then handed off to the local post office for delivery days after initial delivery time.

Quote from the news:
"The U.S. Postal Service reported a net loss of $586 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2015 (April 1, 2015 — June 30, 2015)"
Expect more layoffs...branch closures...
It's only gonna get worse until they completely revamp the thing or jack prices way up.

Re: What the hell is up with USPS
Exactly what's happening here.... Aus Post is supposedly running at a loss, despite the prices going up across the board seemingly every quarter, and more parcel post than ever before. That, and parcels see to take an eternity to travel around this country, stopping here and there for surprising amounts of time....R Cane wrote:Quote from the news:

All sounds a bit questionable to me.....

That's what happens when things are run poorly. If they were a true private entity they would have been gone long ago.

Re: What the hell is up with USPS
I was expecting a package today from Amazon. It's raining pretty heavily, and I just witnessed the UPS truck drive up to the side of the house, wait a minute, and then take off. I look at the tracking and it says "The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt. A second attempt will be made." Hell, a first attempt wasn't even made.

Re: What the hell is up with USPS
I see potential for a class action lawsuit here. If people pay for tracking and USPS can't provide that (I'm not talking about guaranteeing delivery, just tracking) then you should get a refund. Too many times I have sent an item out with tracking and it goes out to delivery and then no further updates as in it says: no update. That is a rip off and services were not rendered as implied at point of sale. USPS has never refunded my money when they don't complete the tracking of an item.
