that's great Hoopty, so you work for and with French dudes? What is your general feeling? Do not hesitate to speak frankly, I'm from Belgium (that tiny country stuck between The Netherlands and France where we have 3 official languages in our constitution (French, German and Dutch), so what are your feelings Do you speak or understand French?

well, the company i work for was bought by the mega giant publicis group. i dont speak french and i dont have to deal with them personally.

i will say that before my company went public, it was a much much much better place to work for.

corporate advertising pretty much stinks regardless, but to have to worry about the little french bean counters makes it that much worse.

(no offense to our french rc10talk members, unless youre a publicis bean counter.)

its rumored we even managed to lose a VERY VERY big account because of our french connection. the story goes that the u.s. army wasnt too keen on paying the french for its advertising...
