Identifying decals (JJ Ultima '87)

Post by TomEG »

Ok....
I now believe I have identified most of the decals on JJ's WC Ultima from '87, but there are a couple I can't identify from the few, low res images floating around.

Find enclosed a picture of my "replica" wing, and a small and blurry image of JJ's wing. You see that I'm missing the text under the "LAVco" decal, as well as a small decal behind "LAVco".
Does anyone have ANY idea of what those decals say????

Tom

Hehe, yes I'll shoot some pictures of it when it's finished. It's a project that has been going on and off for about 10 years now  I just decided that I really should finish this build, motivated by the other nice replicas out there. Still need to sort out the electronics, though. I have the various parts, but need to solder them together in the right way, according to JJ's Ultima.

I'm not 100% sure about the nicads. I know he used Trinity matched Sanyos, but was it the 1700SCE cells?

Thanks for clearing that up. I was not sure if the SCE's came in 87 or 88.
Jirka wrote:I also have a bigger resolution pic from Joel's wing, I will send that picture here later. The text below "LAVco" is "HIGH TECH"
THANKS!!!!
"HIGH TECH" was actually one of my suggestions from studying the pics I have.

Thanks for that logo, Jirka. I think we can say "case closed" on that one....

Then there's just one decal I haven't quite got right yet, and that's the "TRINITY POWERED" logo at the front of the car. I have seen through tons of magazines and ads, but have not found the Trinity logo with the "powered" text. I have made my own, for now. I will change that if I ever find the right one.

My revised wing artwork. I just need to move the "Cell-Mate" decal a few millimeters to the left.
