Associated 6016 Early CE build
Found this one on eBay, thanks to Eddie for not grabbing it first! They had started it, and like most got the front end done and that's it. It has the early double A stamp, 4 hole tower, bottom load shocks and TQ21/71 tires.
First off, I haven't seen a 6016 that wasn't a short arm car, but from what I hear these were out there. It's essentially just a 6010 with a bearing set thrown in the box.
For all of us that were displeased with the rere, check out the quality anno job on this one. Trimmed in the rear after anno, and not evenly. Wow. Missing screws, warped tires, extra shock parts but missing others, it was all over the place. Even the shock caps were bad- three of one side.
I pulled out some nib electronics for her. She will sit on the shelf with the other couple new builds.

Re: Associated 6016 Early CE build
back from 9 days in australia...
anyhow, very nice. THAT was what i was going to do to my gold pan before i went down the rathole of making it into a worlds: i was just going to do wide front arms (along with the required 4-hole shock tower, which i also have).
very nice. very very nice.
