Best suspension set up for bashing

Currently have graphite rc 10. Want to rebuild it to bash. I want all the best upgrades. Going to rebuild it with gold pan. what are the best arms, carriers, axles, towers, shocls, steering set up. Looking for opinions. Like to run 2.2' s

Really. As in associated parts from another model? Or are you just talking shocks?

The Associated RC10 parts are durable, race proven and readily available. I would set the graphite and gold pan up per the instructions and bash to your hearts content. I suggest the stealth as the only hop up for more reliable running and less maintenance. For the wheels, I would suggest Thunder Tiger Phoenix front and rears or the B2/B3/Worlds CVD conversion.

I know this will probably come off as snarky but that's not my intention. With that said...

Why do you want/need 'all the best upgrades' for a basher? Believe me, I'm all for blowing money on RC cars, but if you already know you want to replace pretty much everything on the car, keep your Graphite as-is. Just buy a basket case RC10 to beat on and only replace the stuff that breaks as you go, or if you really want that 'best upgrades' car, buy only the parts you want and built it from scratch. But you're going to sink a lot of money into it if you do so.

Keep in mind that with a few exceptions, most aftermarket RC10 parts out there don't necessarily make the car better, only different. Steel turnbuckles work fine. Steel hinge pins and original hardware work fine. Fiberglass shock towers work fine. Standard dogbones work fine. Even the original steering works well enough with the addition of two zip ties. Along with modern tire technology, the wide front arms and Stealth transmission were the two biggest improvements to the original car. There's no need to drop big bucks on this. Again, if you want to, then great! Just don't expect the fun factor or speed to increase at the same rate as dollars invested.

As I wrote in my intro when I joined a while back, after having lots of high-dollar RC10s back in the 90's, the most fun I had with one was with a used and abused Team Car I bought in pieces in a box for $40.

Yah I here ya. I would like to do a few things. Stealth tranny, new or updated steering, I like to do arms all around and with that new axles. I would also like to go brushless and Lipo. New wheels and tires too. Any suggestions?

if you're just doing 'bashing' dirt hawgs are great all around tires, just need some 2.2 wheels. Look at what the worlds re-release uses and go with that. the front will need some longer front axles, and the rears will be a 3/16" axle/bearings/carriers

Honestly, if you can buy a re-released Worlds Car for $200 (I think it's still being sold that low in some places) you would be miles ahead of the game. Full sealed bearings, milled chassis, better shocks, better slipper, better steering, 2.2" wheels, CVA axles, Stealth trans, graphite towers and trans brace, etc., and it's all brand new. Buy four flanged bearings for the steering and the tires of your choice and you're golden. Can't beat that deal with a stick.

Even if you buy a new Worlds Car just to scavenge parts from to build your own personal 'ultimate RC10', it'll still be cheaper to do it that way in the end. You'll have new leftover parts you can eBay to recoup some money or keep as spares for your Graphite. But please, if the Graphite is a complete car, don't make it a donor! Just stick it on the shelf and start from scratch.
