RC10 Onroad/Dirtoval conversion

Hi ya'll...picked this up off RCgroups last week. It's RC10 based, but I'm not sure where the chassis itself came from. It was set up for oval at one time, or at least it was heading that direction. Ill post pics for now, its late, trying to figure out what I want to do with her..

I also just picked up the exact A&L steering hardware however it did not come with the screws/posts....any advise on what is the correct post hardware for it?

I was going to use my Hough posts which fit great for the bearings, but they are not high enough....the screws on the steering bar rub my graphite chassis....any advice would be helpful.

Very cool car! The A&L rack is is raised for sure! Might have been done to match the lowered car and keep the steering geomitry?

Quick question..are there still on road wheels and tires for these conversions? I don't see ever having the time to race this car, but I do want to restore it and do a parking lot bomber. Any suggestions, remarks, or smart aleck comments appreciated.

Two options....first is to get a set of 3/16" axle CVD from a World's re-re, B2 or B3 so that you can use common dirt oval wheels from Custom Works or T/M RC. You may need to also pick up some CW wheel spacers.

The second option is to get a set of pan car wheel adapters. There's plenty to choose from on eBay. (e.g. CRP part number 4130)

I run the same car. However I run an RPM 2.65 trans with slipper eliminator. I run an A&L setup as well. I have raced this on a few different dirt oval tracks here in NY in different classes. It's a very competitive car still. And my chassis is beat. I'm sure it's tweaked too. But the fact is the car is awesome. I've run it as a Nastruck at Victory RC where I was a hair off the pace versus a Murfdog direct drive car. I've recently dusted the car off and slapped a late model body on it. I've been racing it against Putnam Apex and Havocs. First week out I was still set up for a much larger track. Still had the lead in the A main until I broke a rear hub (messed up in lap traffic). Last week I tied the lap count against a Havoc at 69 laps with a tight car. This week I threw on an EDM body and I'm going to run against the Small Block class. Last week the winner turned 71 laps so I'm close.

If you need any advice or help running this car, let me know. I'm not an expert on setups but I can share my experiences with this chassis. It's a damn good car!
