My Schumacher cat xls collection
My Schumacher cat xls collection
Well i was in my basement the other day looking at all my vintage cars and noticed my cat that was hanging from the rafters. Yes i would hang my old car i retired from my rafters dirt and all. It looked lonely so i pulled it down and broke out all of my parts and cars. Now i have the bug to get them all cleaned up and looking good. I have my complete one i ran back in the 80s, a never run cat that i got half built from a guy. It's only missing minor parts. A parts car, and a bunch of spare unused and used parts.

Re: My Schumacher cat xls collection
Looks like you have some very good projects running up! Seems that you maybe rebuilt your runner from XL to XLS? At least i see some SWB/XL parts in your parts heap. That new XLS is just a dream come true... Looking forward to see how you "solve" these builds!
Re: My Schumacher cat xls collection
I had acquired the box from an old friend of mine. He might have had an xl back in the day.
The built one with the dirt on the tires was defiantly an xls. Also the new one in the box is an xls.
I'm missing some parts on the Never run Cat Xls.
Front stabilizer tie rods. (Original)
Front steering tie rods. (Original)
Brass pivot bushings and screws for the front steering.
Two tie rod balls
Internals for two sets of shocks. (one at least)
Shock spring stops. 4 of them.
Original lexan pieces.
any help locating these would be great.

Re: My Schumacher cat xls collection
The new build car is an amazing find looks really nice. I would be tempted to rob the parts from the part built car with the none Schumacher chassis.

That's what i'm going to do with that car is just use the parts. I will sell some of the parts to help fund buying other parts that i'm missing.yachty wrote:The new build car is an amazing find looks really nice.
