rc10nds lemans body (pics)..question

hi guys,

does anyone know if this is a stock body or what kind of body is it? is it associated? also what starter box is it? :lol:

any info appreciated.

ps. hes trying to take the body out of the deal and give me a dodge sedan body cuz this one wont fit in the box.

tell him that you wanted the car but the body is why you purchased his car vs. the other 10 cars that were being up for auction at the time.

I don't he's trying to pull a "bait and switch" on you...he's just lazy to find a box that fits everything.

ok thanks guys, i told him to find a bigger box but in a nice way haha. i def want the body for display! is it an associated?

Well, that might not be 100% accurate. After looking at it closer, it might be from another manufacturer. I know that Bolink made one and I am sure there were a couple of others. I would have to find one my Bolink bodies to be 100% sure. Regardless, it is a Nissan GTP. Here is pic of the real deal at a Daytona HSR race (taken by myself :D ):

If I recall the only GTP type bodies that fit the DS were the narrower 210mm "superspeedway" type. I'll agree it's a Nissan, but a little too plain for an AE body. Aren't the normal 10L type 235mm wide?

And Jay, I watched that car race at Mid-Ohio long before it was considered "historic". :P

I don't know the dimesions, but the AE GTP has a V type rear wing where the ends tapered in. Also, it only had one large scoop on the drivers side (like the one in the real photo).
