Mr4bc suspension will be exact retrofit, and possibly no differences at all other than castor angles if even that. I read somewhere that late model yz10 axles might be interchangeable to use different wheel types,, might have been a guess though. mx4 mr4bc axles are 6mm diameter, so to attempt, special size bearings would be needed.

Diffs, axles motor mounts, gears, layshaft assemblies from mr4 belt drive series should all fit.

thanks for the replies! I throught the mr4bc would be more similar than that seeing how the mx4 ymp was leading towards the mr4 layout . Guess i'll start researching part numbers. If all else fails, sanding discs and a good selection of drill bits will make things fit if needed :P

Mr4bx is the exception. That design is more of an evolutionary step than there was between mx4 and mr4bc. That mid motor bx is a totally different car. mr4bc is the one that will most closely mimic mx4 in its layout and compatibility.

Front suspension arms caster blocks and hubs are the same for bc/mx

Rear suspension arms are the same bc/mx hubs are different

Gearbox covers are slightly different between the two not sure if the bc will fit mx and visa versa

Motor mount is different between bc/mx

Diff pulleys are the same out drives are different (shorter on the bc) this also makes the ujs incompatible

Rear belt is the same for bc/mx but not front due to the bc having a shorter wheel base

Not sure about steering parts as the servo location is different between the bc/mx the posts however are the same

Wheel hubs are different as the diameter for the axles is different

Wheels are the same

The YZ10 and YR4 are completely different designs. Hope that helps.

Exactly, you are right. Don`t know why I thought we were talking about the bx
Yes, the mx4 and bc have parts in common, don`t know exactly what, but they have.

I just recently got a bx myself but have not had a chance to really examine it. However,, it has been a somewhat constant shopping session for mr4bc and mx4 parts to keep a runner and a couple of test/photo mules.

Some mx4 parts are very hard to find. I think its only a matter of time till a parts horde becomes available,, but havent seen it happen yet.

Thanks guys! I would love to start club racing my mx4 just its a awesome car to drive....gotta get the parts sorted out first. I'd rather have a in tact shelf queen than a broken race car. :/

Just curious what parts you are looking for? I've been on the hunt for MX-4 parts as well... Actually plenty of stuff available but probably not what you are looking for. The MR4-BC is real similar as others have mentioned but it's probably harder hunting down those parts. LOL!

Well, for a long time now mx4 mr4bc parts have been absent or very sporadic from the main marketplace. Some stuff,, but the important stuff like slipper clutch parts, rear arms, bc shock towers,,,, bc wheel hub adapters,,,, almost impossible to find. I would think twice about racing one. I know of a couplea folks with parts and even kits,, but their not selling. Strong loyalty among yok collectors for that series.

An mr4bc nib has been for sale for a while on the bay. its probably worth asking price just for the few spares a runner might need.
