The Scorpion Brothers

Post by scootmike »

Few pics of my Scorpion Brothers, was very lucky to buy these on evilbay.
Anybody recognize them from any of the Portland OR or Southern CA area tracks?
Nothing like a nice vintage Scorp racer!

The name doesn't ring a bell but I wasn't at the track till the rc10 era either. Very very nice pair!

Just looked around, that company still exists in Portland. Hmm.

Can't justifiably call it evilbay when it lets you find super hopped up beauts like those. ;)

I looked them up too, still in business.
Might send a pic to see if anyone remembers them.

According to the seller, he bought these from a sponsored Southern CA racer a few years ago.
He bought them at a yard sale and said the seller had 4-5 more buggies just like them and a pile of parts!
He wishes he would have bought the lot, wonder where those ended up?
It just amazes me what is still out there, sitting in closets, garages etc...

The build quality on these are top notch and the hop ups over the top!
Definitely the jewels in my collection.

Ebay has been evil to my wallet, but as you say, it makes these type of buggies available!

Awsome score Mike. 8) Hopefully you can catch up with the original owners and they can shed some light on the cars histories.

Pretty cool to find out if they won a few big races with them.
Chris.
