OMG, I am not alone....this woman is driving me crazy with rubber stamp this, die cut that, I need this machine, I want that doohicky...sounds like me walking through a hobby shop....LMAO.
I was going to go to the track today, first time since October, but no....we are going to Micheals and then Joann's fabric and, and, and...

At least I have built cars I can show, she has yet to do a single scrapbook page, but has been "collecting" stuff for almost 2 years.

But seriously, do they have "spring cleaning" on the mind?

I just argue the fact that its probably cheaper than a therapist AND I get to stay "naturally happy" and not "chemically happy"!

Scr8p, LOL! Thanks for the good laugh.

Halgar, that is what I have been telling her.

JK, Tell me about it. Dude, you have no idea how many photos she has. I think I have a projects to keep me occupied for a while, HECK, she has enough pictures for three lifetimes. She took 800 images on our last trip to the SF area.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Is there something about the RC10 that attracts guys who are involved with chicks who are into crap booking. My wifes last big purchase, a $300+ machine called a Kri-kut. It is pronounced like cricket and is basically a font factory for idiots that you build one font at a time. I got over 40,000 plus fonts and a 26 inch vinyl cutter. "Tell me what you want baby and I'll do it a hell of a lot cheaper than that piece of crap."

I've talked her into selling it and getting a small Roland for the computer/crapbook room. The one cool thing about crap booking, she spend almost as much money as I do.

Her response was, "so are you going to be leaving me EVERY weekend to race now?"....
   I feel your pain brother.

Being married is like having sex with a guy. You only have to do it once and your a homo for the rest of your life.

Not that there is anything wrong with that....

Kelly has used hers twice and she bought the freaking thing a couple years ago. It does a great job but the cartridges are what, $50 a set???

It would not take long to rack up the price of an awesome desktop cutter. Then you can cut whatever you want with whatever font you want. Start up is a little pricey but you save in the long run.

You guys are scaring me. Is this what I have to look forward to?

Actually, I live with my fiance and have been lucky enough to catch 90% of the packages before she does. Also, thats why I haven't posted a project anytime recently. Everything is in pieces, easier to keep out of sight. I still hear about it. Not quite as often though.

Tad, now they have a cartridge the hooks to the PC via USB...I will probably have to pick that up soon. With "design" software I will have to master and then attept to teach her.

Hobbies, yeah I keep telling my wife she needs a good one: one that actually consumes time, one that she can enjoy alone and doesn't consist of buying stuff only...
Last year she came up with Hul-la dancing: kept her busy for an hour or 2 once a week, with nice fees to pay for each course, the fitting garderobe (no coco-nut bra's and hay skirts apparently). She gave up when the teacher wanted her to do a public performance, wherefor she'd need to buy a new wardrobe and share in renting the place, sound and light installation, for a 5 minutes dance and no cut in the income.
Thank god sense kicked in just in time.
It's getting better though:
Now she's taking kimono classes and luckily her mom is into this too: I can get away with what she picks up from second-hand shops while her mom buys the new stuff. you'd go pale comparing our prices to kimono-stuff.
The big improvement though is, while the course is still only once a week and only 2hours she did make some friends there and stays out for half a day.
Beside that she likes to sleep late, watches a lot of japanese television; which I'm usually allowed to not-watch (yeay!) and the doggy we got last year keeps her busy at least a couple hours a day too. And she does cook and some cleaning :D
She also started spending more time on the pc and a japanese kind of forum which is good since she was still kinda stuck in dos-like stage, hating pc's.
The only thing I would really whish we wouldn't have to do in my free-time is grocery shopping  It's the most awfull thing having to do rather than going to the LHS or track or just tool around.

Same thing for me guys, we live in a 2 bedroom appartment that is 90 square meters and the one where we don't sleep is full of shelf queens, computer and boxes full of R/C crap, we have a boy coming in 5 months and the wife is every day on me saying you should sell this, you should get rid of half of your cars (half of my collection is already packed at my parent's home), you should clean it and spend less time in fornt of the PC, blah blah blah... She enjoys the fact that I have a hobby, but since she doesn't really understand how I can get stuck half a day building and tooling around, I have to make everyday efforts just for her not being on my back... I have been collecting vintage stuff for 6 years now and racing again for 3 years, I really hope to be able to race the next season, and maybe the boy will enjoy evry Sunday at the track, but that's our secret  Boys and girls are the same when it comes to hobbies, it's just that we can't share the same one because it wouldn't be a hobby anymore... Just pour some more water in your wine when it's necessary

That's the good thing with working from home and within the model industry: I can mess the whole office with RC related stuff and when new parcels arrive I can always say "Honey, it's for the magazine ..." (although sometimes it's not  because it is just another eBay find)
